Ousmane Dieng comes close to a triple-double

Mark Daigneault had decided to rotate for the match against the Zealand Breakers. The first eight players in his rotation were in civilian clothes, as well as Ajay Mitchell, injured in the ankle.

This did not prevent the Thunder from dominating (117-89) a very weak Australian team, with a Ousmane Dieng propelled to the direction of the game and who took the opportunity to come close to a triple-double: 20 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists!

Almost a veteran compared to the rest of the group used this night, the Frenchman displayed his qualities, with his size and his vision of the game, even if he was sometimes too easy in his attacks from the circle. He finished the evening at 7/16 shooting, including 3/7 from distance, to also go with 2 blocks and a +/- of +18.

“We have really made a lot of progress”, explains his coach. “He arrived as the youngest player in the Draft and he has continued to improve since he has been here. »

Constant talk from the coach, but one that has yet to translate into a real role in Oklahoma City's first team. Is it time for the 21-year-old, who is entering his third season in the NBA?
