Nuggets activate option on Christian Braun’s contract

This is the period during which NBA franchises activate options on the rookie contracts of their young people.

Almost automatic procedures, and it is therefore very logical that Adrian Wojnarowski announces that the Nuggets have activated their option on Christian Braun’s third year of contract.

The rear is therefore linked to Denver until 2025, via a third year of contract at $3 million.

Author of a very, very rare NCAA/NBA double with Kansas then Denver, Christian Braun is also called to be the 6th man of the Nuggets this season, following the departures of Bruce Brown and Jeff Green to free agency.

Quite a responsibility for a sophomore, but the former Jayhawk has already proven that he is fearless.

Note that the Nuggets still have an option to activate on their player’s contract, worth $4.9 million for the 2025/26 season. They will then be able to extend their player or let him test the market in 2026. But again, they will have control over the player’s future since he should be a “protected free agent”.
