No Spanish back-to-back for Nolan Traore and the Pôle France. After his card the day before (45 points) against FC Barcelona, the INSEP leader suffered this time against Real Madrid, in the final of the Adidas Next Generation Tournament U18the toughest of the U18 tournaments which took place in Berlin, alongside the Euroleague Final Four.
Quickly weighed down by mistakes, Nolan Traoré struggled to find his rhythm, the Madrilenians waiting for him in the paint while he finished the match at 0/5 from distance.
He completed this final with 18 points at 6/14 shooting, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 interceptions in 33 minutes, but also 5 turnovers and having been blocked three times. Thanks in particular to a great Jonas Boulefaa (23 points, 13 rebounds) at his side, Nolan Traoré still twice had the opportunity to snatch victory.
At the end of the fourth quarter, however, his shot with the board bounced off the rim. And in overtime, his complicated and very distant 3-pointer at the buzzer didn't hit the mark either.
Egor Demin (26 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists), Hugo Gonzalez (23 points) and the Madrilenians could exult, to validate a fourth victory at the Adidas Next Generation Tournament in the last five seasons.
Hugo Gonzalez was also named MVP of the Finals, as well as in the major five of the competition alongside Nolan Traoré, Kasparas Jakucionis (FC Barcelona), Jack Kayil (Mega Mozzart) and Parker Robinson (Overtime Elite).
