As with Markieff Morris in Dallas, we are learning more about the contract of Tristan Thompson in Cleveland.
And while ESPN announced the veteran interior's return for one year, Hoopshype now clarifies that it is a non-guaranteed lease, and that even though the player is expected to start the season in Ohio, the Cavaliers can avoid validating his entire contract ($3.3 million) by transferring him between December 15 and January 7.
Another interesting point revealed this time by Hoopsrumors : Tristan Thompson has agreed to give up the veto power he could have, and he will therefore not be able to oppose a transfer during the season.
Enough to offer the Cleveland franchise a fair bit of flexibility, while the club keeps as much as possible since there are still only 10 players with fully guaranteed contracts in the squad for the coming season…
