We kinda suspected it, but Al Horford would not be on the final list of the selection of the Dominican Republic who will participate in the World Cup. The Federation had initially unveiled a very extensive list of around thirty names, and according to Dorde Malesevic of BasketballSphere.comCeltics interior and Chris Duarte are no longer on this list.
On the other hand, Karl-Anthony Towns is still there, and he will be the leader of the Dominican Republic, who will challenge Angola, Italy and one of the host countries, the Philippines in Group A. If they qualify among the top two in their group, the Dominicans will then cross paths with the top two in Group B, which includes Serbia, China, South Sudan and Puerto Rico.
