During the Olympic tournament, statistics were not to be talked about Nikola JokicNow that he has his bronze medal around his neck, and has returned home to Serbia to be cheered, we hardly need to talk to him about basketball anymore!
The three-time NBA MVP was indeed seen rushing, in the hours following his return to the country, to a racetrack, to satisfy his love of horse riding.
“Nikola loves the simple things in life”, confirms his fatherBranislav Jokic. “We plan to build houses and a racecourse so he can indulge his love of horses. What more does he need?”
Nikola Jokic, while he has a sporting record worthy of a superstar and could benefit even more from his notoriety, is definitely not like the others…
“He could also go clubbing on the river in Belgrade, but what's the point? To become a public figure? He's not interested in that,” continues the father of the Denver player. “He has music and his favorite bar here, where he goes on Fridays and Saturdays with his childhood friends. He doesn't hang out with new friends, because it's hard for him to accept new people around him. They must be part of the basketball or horse riding world, the rest is really complicated.”
