Nicolas Batum returns to the Clippers!

Still no retirement for Nicolas Batum ! Released by the Sixers, the French winger chose to return to the Clippers where he had left only good memories. According to ESPN, he signed for two years (1+1) for $9.6 million. During the day, there was talk of interest from Spurs, but the prospect of finding his family and Los Angeles was stronger. Batum was also on the Warriors' short list.

For the Clippers, it is a second recruit on the wing, after Derrick Jones Jr., to compensate for the departure of Paul George. At the Clippers, “Batman” is right at home, and he will find many teammates, and a coach, Tyronn Lue, who adores him. A few days ago, Paul George, who left the Clippers, explained how much Batum the Clippers missed after his departure, in exchange for James Harden.

“We made the trade for James and it’s not his fault that we suffered, in my opinion, but what’s been forgotten a little bit is that we lost RoCo (Robert Covington), we lost Nico (Batum). Those were our glue guys, our defenders. And we play small, they had the size to allow us to do it. It wasn’t about going after James, it was more about losing those guys.
