Nick Nurse is the new coach of the Sixers!

The rumors of the weekend were right! Also on the shelves of the Suns, Nick Nurse has finally agreed to join the Sixers, and ESPN announces that the former Toronto coach succeeds Doc Rivers.

In Philadelphia, Nurse will therefore find Daryl Morey, whom he knew at the Rockets when he was in charge of their G-League team, and no doubt he has already rubbed shoulders with James Harden. Except that it is not certain that Harden is still in the workforce at the start of the school year since it is rumored that he could use his release clause to return to… Houston.

We are not there yet, and Nurse will therefore know his second franchise after five years on the Toronto bench. His record: three playoff qualifications, and above all an NBA title in 2019, the year he took office! That year, the Raptors had also eliminated the Sixers on a miraculous basket from Kawhi Leonard.
