Usually, NBA coaches don’t deal with teams in the Summer League. They leave the hand to an assistant, who can thus cut his teeth and have a little experience on a bench. But that’s not the case for Nick Nurse this year.
Indeed, the latter decided to lead the Sixers during the Salt Lake City Summer League, announces Philadelphia franchise.
The new Sixers coach will take care of three games against Memphis, Utah and Oklahoma City, between July 3 and 6. For the great Las Vegas Summer League, however, the Sixers have not announced their coach, but it will obviously not be Nick Nurse.
For this short summer league, the former Raptors coach will notably have under his command Jaden Springer, MVP of the G-League Finals, or pivot Filip Petrusev.
