Next time, Kyle Kuzma will avoid making fun of the Pistons…

It is never good to fool an opponent, and Kyle Kuzma learned it the hard way. A year ago, when the Pistons were in the midst of the worst losing streak in history, he mocked him on Twitter with this expression “Don’t be that team”which meant that no one wanted to be the team that lost to Detroit. At the time of his tweet, the Pistons were leading the Celtics by 19 points… and they ended up losing.

Sunday evening, the official account of the franchise resumed the same expression as Kyle Kuzma after the Pistons' victory against the Wizards. A year later, Detroit is in 5th place in the Eastern Conference, while the Wizards have only won 2 matches out of 12. Sunday, they even took a spanking at home against the teammates of Cade Cunningham, author of his 4th triple-double of the season.

Malik Beasley adds another layer

Arriving this summer to supervise the young people, Malik Beasley has had a blast since he started, and last night, he scored 26 points for Bilal Coulibaly's partners. He in turn takes the opportunity to humor the Wizards…

“Progressing was the main goal tonight,” explains the former Bucks shooter. “We won, but we had to win by a good margin. Winning by twenty points is what we should do against teams like that. What matters most to me for our group is learning to become a great team, not just a good team. »

Clearly, the Pistons no longer consider themselves in the same category as the Wizards, and Kyle Kuzma is therefore caught up with his old messages.

“It was a superb collective victory” continues Malik Beasley. “What concerns me the most is to ensure that it is not a trap match. I'm glad we handled day-to-day affairs. It had to be done. »
