News item: charges dropped against Taurean Prince

Taurean Prince can finally breathe. The Star Tribune reports indeed that a grand jury in Texas did not indict him for possession of narcotics. Placed in pre-trial detention this summer, the Wolves player had been the subject of an arrest warrant for illegal possession of weapons and possession of narcotics.

A native of Texas, the 28-year-old had been arrested in suburban Dallas for an expired license plate. An electronic cigarette containing THC (active molecule of cannabis), illegal in Texas, and approximately 0.3 grams of cannabis were found in his vehicle.

Taurean Prince had also informed the officer that he had two handguns in the car. According to TMZ, the gun charges were also dropped.

In my opinion, I was not wrong at the base. What happened is very unfortunate. These things happen, whatever the reason, they happen. But I’ve moved on now “Reacted this weekend the former Hawks, Nets and Cavs player.

Prior to the season, Taurean Prince said he was confident his arrest would not slow him down and he would be cleared. A feeling confirmed by his start to the season as his statistical output is up slightly and he has established himself as one of Wolves’ vocal leaders.
