As for Kevin Durant with the KD 17, New Balance had undoubtedly imagined a promotion with great fanfare to support the “back-to-back” potential of the Nuggets Jamal Murray in order to highlight the two “Player Edition” colors of the New Balance 2002R and the TWO WXY V4, released Thursday on North American soil. But Denver ultimately did not make it to the Western Conference final, eliminated by Minnesota in the previous round.
The American brand had also opted for two colors symbolizing Jamal Murray's attachment to the Colorado franchise with two models in the historic colors of the Rockies team, in white and sky blue.
The New Balance 2002R leans between white, gray and beige for its upper with light sky blue finishes. It's the opposite for the magnificent TWO WXY V4, mainly sky blue with a few touches of white, to highlight the logos in particular, like that of Jamal Murray on the heel. The inscription “Jamal Murray Player Edition” appears on the insoles of both models.
The New Balance 2002R “Jamal Murray” is currently available for $145 in the United States and Canada. The TWO WXY V4 is $120.
