Neemias Queta, last guaranteed contract of the Celtics

They still had one standard contract to award and it was finally Neemias Queta whoever is offered it, announce the Celtics. This therefore means that he is no longer in “two-way contract” and it's not that surprising, when we know that the Portuguese showed good things when he played in the NBA this season (4.6 points and 4.1 rebounds on average, over 26 games and in 11 minutes of play).

Otherwise, the 24-year-old interior also shared his time in the G-League (for 14.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.1 interceptions on average), notably helping the Maine Celtics to reach the Finals, played soon against the OKC Blue (by Ousmane Dieng and Olivier Sarr…).

Previously with the Kings, Neemias Queta thus becomes the 15th and final guaranteed contract of Boston and he will always take his place alongside Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford, Xavier Tillman and Luke Kornet in the Celtic racket. Even if the playing time in the playoffs of the first Portuguese in NBA history should be very reduced.

Two-way contract : Designed to create a new bridge between the NBA and the G-League, this type of contract allows each team to secure the services of two or three additional players, to develop them mainly in their affiliated development league franchise but also up to 50 matches in the NBA.
