Nadir Hifi in summer league with the Wolves

“Cut” by Vincent Collet from the French Team's squad for the Olympic Games, Nadir Hifi (1m85, 22 years old in ten days) will not have much time to think about it since BeBasket announces that he will cross the Atlantic to play the Las Vegas Summer League with the Wolves, from July 12 to 22. We do not know if Rudy Gobert whispered his name to his managers, but the Paris Basketball guard will have a great opportunity to show himself.

Undrafted last season despite half a dozen attempts, he had confided that the NBA was in the back of his mind. “If a franchise were to call me tomorrow, offer me some playing time and allow me to progress, [j’irai]. I'm going to try to find the best place to progress and continue to grow. A team that lets me make mistakes too, because I'm going to make them, that's for sure. But you just have to keep moving forward.”

For now, it's only Summer League, and it's not an ideal environment in terms of play. But given his level of play in Betclic Elite, he could catch the eye of “scouts”. Eurocup winner and finalist of the French championship, he was one of the three finalists for the MVP trophy after averaging 15.6 points.

Note that Théo Maledon, still in the Blues squad for the moment, is part of the Magic squad. In case he too is cut…
