Monty Williams to coach his sons at a San Antonio high school

Fired by the Pistons last June, after only one season at the helm and the team and above all with a new draw record to boot, Monty Williams had coached his last game in San Antonio. Ironically, it is in this same city that he is preparing to resume his coaching career, because the Bleacher Report tells us that he has agreed to become the coach of TMI Episcopal, a private high school with a military and religious tradition.

Under his orders, the former technician from New Orleans, Phoenix then Detroit will notably find… his son, Elijah, aged 17 and who is one of the best American prospects. Some sites imagine him already drafted in the Top 10 in 2027. But that's not all, since his other son, Micah, is also in this establishment. He is currently expected in the 2029 Draft.

In San Antonio, Monty Williams will also coach Draven Duncan and Ozmei Bowen, the sons of… Tim Duncan and Bruce Bowen. Bruce Bowen who is also the predecessor of the 2023 NBA finalist at the head of this Texan high school.
