We can speak of a flop for Montrezl Harrell, who had not been so discreet since his rookie year! Arrived at the Sixers last summer to be the understudy of Joel Embiid, the former interior of the Clippers and the Lakers gradually disappeared from the rotation, even when the Cameroonian was injured. His lack of involvement in defense and his inability to play wide in attack relegated him to the end of the bench, and unsurprisingly, the former best sixth man in the NBA chose to decline his “player option”.
Harrell writes off $2.7 million to become an unprotected free agent. It is not certain that he finds better, and he will have to be patient to win a contract. Why not at the Suns where the leaders must fill the workforce with a dozen players at minimum wage.
