At the origin of the altercation with the fans, his teammate Kendric Davis received a two-game suspension. He explained that his anger came from a racist comment coming from the supporters behind his team's bench. An argument which was therefore clearly not sufficient in the eyes of the commission responsible for sanctions.
A commission which detailed the sanctions against Montrezl Harrell, with 1,550 dollars for each blow dealt, or 3,100 dollars in total, plus 585 dollars for his participation in a fight. The three match suspensions are the consequence of having “caught a spectator inappropriately”.
On the opposing team's side, Shea Iliwho added fuel to the fire by pushing the former 6th man of the year in the NBA, received a fine of 775 dollars, just like the assistant David Barlow.
After the resumption of the championship following the international break, Montrezl Harrell should therefore miss the matches against the Tasmania JackJumpers on November 30, then against the Brisbane Bullets on December 6, then finally against the Perth Wildcats on December 8.
