Montrezl Harrell loses his temper in the Australian championship

Now a full-time Australian Championship player, Montrezl Harrell big risk after the last match of the Adelaide 36ers, against Melbourne United. Because the former best 6th man in the NBA has climbed the towers…

At the start, an offensive foul is called on Rob Loe, and both players find themselves on the ground. The two basketball players are on top of each other, too long for Montrezl Harrell's liking, who pushes his opponent away. The rest is a general melee, with the intervention of Shea Ili who brings the interior of the 36ers into the towers.

Both players are expelled… except that the situation will not end there for the 32nd choice of the 2015 Draft.

Four spectators expelled

Because spectators placed just behind the bench are aggressive with players and members of the staff of the Adelaide 36ers. Some are pushed and Montrezl Harrell gets involved again, recreating a general melee.

“When I came back [de la première échauffourée]supporters shouted at the players »explained Mike Wells, the coach of the 36ers. “The fans were yelling at our players and being very, very aggressive with them. I was in the NBA for a long time (Mike Wells was an assistant for the Rockets and then the Jazz for a long time), I saw a lot of fights. But the fans in the front row, they can't do that. They pay for their tickets, they can cheer us on, they can yell at us, but as soon as they start putting their hands on the guys, it's a different story. From what I saw, they pushed our GM.”

Four spectators were also expelled by security, while Melbourne United ended up winning (113-93) against the Adelaide 36ers, while the Australian league announced the opening of a double investigation.
