Mohamed Diarra enters the Draft and will leave North Carolina State

The beautiful story of Mohamed Diarra with North Carolina State will end. The Frenchman, author of a superb end to the NCAA season, announced his registration for the next Draft in a message posted on his social networks. A hard-working insider but making constant progress after starting basketball late, he adds that he will not return to the NCAA, even though he still had one year of eligibility in the university championship.

This season at NC State with my teammates and coaches was incredible » he writes. “ It was more than I could have imagined and I will always cherish my time at NC State and our run to the ACC title and Final Four. But my dream has always been to play in the NBA and I will focus 100% on continuing my professional career. […] I will always be a member of Wolfpack Nation, but the time has come to officially declare myself eligible for the NBA Draft. »

Mohamed Diarra revealed himself at the end of the season, contributing to NC State's stunning ACC tournament (9.2 points and 12 rebounds on average, compared to 6.3 points and 7.8 rebounds in the regular season) to reach March Madness. The Montreuil native was unable to prevent the elimination of his team at the Final Four by Purdue and Zach Edey after starting the end-of-season tournament with three “double-doubles”.

His NBA future, however, is not all mapped out since his name has not yet appeared in the various Draft predictions. Not sure, however, after his good end to the financial year that his rating could in any case rise much higher, at 23 years old. Mohamed Diarra joins the list of French people who have declared their name for the Draft, to which Zaccharie Risacher and Tidjane Salaün were added recently.
