Not retained by the Lakers, Malik Beasley and Mo Bamba have finally found two great challenges to take up within choice stables in the East. In Milwaukee for the first, and in Philadelphia for the second. The 2m13 pivot has signed up for a year with the Sixers, this time playing the back-up role of Joel Embiid. The former Orlando interior succeeds Montrezl Harrell and Dewayne Dedmon, currently free agents.
Adrian Wojnarowski clarified that the Philadelphia front office still intends to extend Paul Reed, currently protected free agent, and who will therefore compete with Mo Bamba to replace the MVP of the last regular season in position 5.
Bamba is the Sixers’ second signing this summer, after Pat Beverley from the Bulls. The Philadelphia franchise’s offseason is plagued by James Harden’s decision to leave, but so far it’s been dead calm, and no serious offers have arrived on President Daryl Morey’s desk.
