Mitchell Robinson out for another three to four months!

We knew that Julius Randle was going to help out as a center following the departure of Isaiah Hartenstein, but maybe he'll even start the season in that position… SNY thus reveals that Mitchell Robinson is absolutely not ready to return! The Knicks center had undergone a second operation on his ankle in May, after a collision with Joel Embiid, and initially the New York medical staff was counting on six to eight weeks of absence. Which, in theory, should have allowed him to be ready for the start of training camp.

No reinforcements expected?

Except that SNY is now talking about a return in December or January, seven to eight months after his operation! According to our colleagues, and to avoid any relapse like last spring, the Knicks prefer that he be 100% recovered and they are therefore banking on a return at the very end of the year, or even early 2025. SNY specifies that on the Knicks side, they are not considering recruiting a similar pivot, and that in his absence, it is the wingers, very numerous, who will lend a hand under the panels.

For Julius Randle, the uncertainty remains. We will probably have to wait until Media Day, early next week, to know if he is fully recovered from his shoulder surgery.
