Miscellaneous | Linked to many NBA stars, a personal trainer arrested for rape

The respondent was located in East Greenwich (Rhode Island), south of Boston. Last Friday, members of the Boston Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit and Fugitive Unit, aided by Warwick police, arrested the personal trainer of many NBA stars, Robert McClanaghan.

The latter was wanted under an arrest warrant issued the day before by the Boston Municipal Court for rape and use of narcotics for sexual intercourse.

First detained in the local police department, he appeared in a Rhode Island court on Monday, where he did not contest his extradition to a detention center in the capital of Massachusetts.

According to the Boston police statementthis investigation and subsequent arrest are the result of investigations by the Sexual Assault Unit in conjunction with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
