Milwaukee offers Malik Beasley, the number 1 of the 3-pointers off the bench

Looking for a new challenge after seeing the Lakers decline the option for his last year of contract at 16.5 million, Malik Beasley has found a base in Milwaukee, where he will demonstrate his outside address off the bench. The Athletic announces that the shooting guard has agreed to a one-year contract for 2.7 million dollars, and he is expected to replace Wes Matthews in the squad.

It is very far from these last emoluments, he who turned to nearly 15 million dollars per year for the last three seasons, but the player knew well that he was going to have to go through it, after a season between Utah and the Lakers where he ended up losing his place in the rotation over the playoffs (25 minutes played in total against Golden State, only one minute in the conference final against Denver).

Malik Beasley, the number 1 3-pointer off the bench

Malik Beasley still benefited from a good rating on the market and several teams including the Sixers, the Suns, the Raptors, the Mavericks, the Bucks but also the Warriors were in the running. It was ultimately Milwaukee who won the day and he will try to highlight his qualities in outside shooting and to stretch the game. Remember that Malik Beasley was the most prolific 3-point player off the bench this season (159 ), ahead of Georges Niang (149) and Malik Monk (143).
