Mike Brown extends three years to the Kings

The negotiations will have been complicated but Mike Brown managed to get what he wanted: a contract extension and an annual salary of $10 million. More exactly, ESPN reports that the Kings coach has signed a new three-year contract, which will allow him to earn $8.5 million per year. If we include the bonuses, the details of which are not known, it could reach this threshold of 10 million dollars annually.

According to his agent, Warren LeGarie, this is therefore both a revaluation and a contract extension since he was entering the last year of his contract, and he will thus receive 8.5 million dollars next season, instead of the 4 million initially planned. Twice “Coach Of The Year”, in 2009 and 2023, Mike Brown is now linked to the Kings until 2027.

Since his arrival, the franchise has a record of 94 victories for 70 defeats, or 57% victories. Last season, the Kings returned to the playoffs for the first time in 16 years! This year, De'Aaron Fox's teammates finished 9th in the West, and they lost to the Pelicans in the second round of play-in.
