With the Wolves eliminated from the title race, Micah Nori received two phone calls. The first of the Lakers, and ESPN announces that he obtained authorization on Monday to meet with the Cavaliers, who have just parted ways with JB Bickerstaff.
Chris Finch's first assistant in Minnesota, Nori found himself thrust into the spotlight after Finch's knee injury, and he was first in line for the end of the series against the Nuggets, and during the entire series against Dallas. Nori is the 5th coach who will meet the Cavaliers, after Kenny Atkinson, James Borrego Johnnie Bryant and Chris Quinn.
After a decade scouting for the Raptors, then a year as director of scouting and four more as an assistant coach, Micah Nori moved to Sacramento in 2013. That's where he's headed meet Mike Malone, quickly fired by the Kings. Nori will be loyal to him by following him to Denver, where he will be part of the same staff as Chris Finch, in 2016/17.
