Maxime Raynaud elected NCAA player of the week

It's not one, but two trophies that Maxime Raynaud will add to his room! Elected among the five National Players of the Week by the specialized press (United States Basketball Writers' Association), the French interior was also chosen as ACC Player of the Week. Under his leadership, Stanford is having its best start to the season since 2019 with four victories and no defeats.

With an average of 21.3 points and 12.8 rebounds, Maxime Raynaud is the best rebounder and the second best scorer in the prestigious ACC conference, which Stanford has just joined. This move to a conference that includes Duke and North Carolina will put him in the spotlight as he begins his fifth college season.

#2 in rebounds in the entire NCAA

This week, he averaged 27.5 points and 12.5 rebounds in wins over Northern Arizona and UC Davis. All at 56% on shots, including 55% at 3-points. Nationally, Maxime Raynaud is the leader in double-doubles, and number 2 in rebounds.

Against UC Davis, Victor Wembanyama's former teammate at Nanterre signed his best career game with 33 points and 14 rebounds. We have to go back to Landry Fields, the current leader of the Hawks, to find traces of such a performance at Stanford. It was in 2010!
