Maxi Kleber will not return until a possible conference final

It was expected: Maxi Kleber will indeed miss several weeks of competition. At least three, in this case. This is what the Mavericksdue to his complete dislocation of the acromioclavicular joint, connecting the scapula (shoulder blade) to the clavicle.

This is obviously a hard blow for Dallas, who will therefore have to face OKC in the conference semi-finals without their 32-year-old German, since the series will extend from May 7 to 20 at most. In the event of a conference final, against Denver or Minnesota, there is in any case a chance that he will be able to return to the floor.

Main rotation of the Texan franchise in the paint (19 minutes on average in the playoffs), behind PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford, Maxi Kleber (5.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists) is a valued teammate of Luka Doncic. He brings versatility to the Mavericks' game, thanks in particular to his 3-point skill (56%) which offers useful spacing to the Slovenian.

Without its interior, Dallas will undoubtedly rely more on Derek Lively II to breathe life into the Washington/Gafford pair, with possibly Dwight Powell or Markieff Morris who will recover a few minutes.
