Maxi blow for the Mavericks

Hard blow for the Mavericks, beaten last night by Cleveland, since Jason Kidd will have to compose without Maxi Kléber for several weeks. The German interior was already suffering from a sprained right knee, and his frankness announces that he tore his hamstrings in training !

According The Athletic, his unavailability is estimated between six and eight weeks, while Dallas prefers not to give a timetable. In the best case, he would return at the end of January if we believe the information from The Athletic. At worst, it will probably be around the All-Star game, scheduled for the weekend of February 19.

Even if his stats remain modest, the German brings “spacing” in attack, and he is a much better defender than Christian Wood. His complicity with Luka Doncic is also precious, especially on the “pick-and-pop”. Proof that Kleber is a key element of the collective, the Mavericks have won only one game in six when he is absent.
