According to Cleveland.comthe Cavaliers have been approached by multiple teams for a trade involving Jarrett Allen. Among them, the Mavericks, who contacted the Ohio franchise about the availability of its All-Star pivot.
A completely logical choice, since Jarrett Allen perfectly matches the profile Dallas needs. Primarily on defense, both on the rebound as well as protecting the circle. On the attack side, he is perfectly complementary to Luka Doncic, both as a threat on the lob passes but also on the pick-and-roll to open up towards the circle. All-Star a year ago, the Cavaliers center is coming off another strong season with 14.3 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks, and he’s simply a stronger, younger JaVale McGee.
Dallas has launched a plan B
We do not know what the Mavericks can offer, but they have initiated plan B by selecting Dereck Lively II in 12th position in the Draft, but also by recovering the rough Rishaun Holmes.
