The good news keeps coming for Matthew Strazel in recent days. Selected with the Blues for the Olympic Games, the playmaker has experienced “the greatest moment” of his career with his 3-point shot, plus the foul, against Japan.
Then, he finished the competition with a silver medal around his neck, after the final lost against Team USA. Finally, he has just extended his contract with Monaco. Thus, he will remain with the “Roca Team” until 2027.
“Joining Monaco two years ago took me into another dimension. I feel like it made me take responsibility. I didn't feel indebted, but almost like signing again with the Roca Team.”he comments for the club website.
Aiming for the European summit
Matthew Strazel is only 22 years old but, with the summer he has just had, next season promises to be important, in order to ride the wave and continue the adventure with the best team in France for two years, “a competitive club with players around me who exude experience and talent”he said.
“I want to be able to climb the ladder with the club, to continue to contribute what I know how to do, and to be a part that contributes to the success of this team,” he continues. “There are still goals that we have not accomplished, and I really want to be part of this project, while being a major player.”
