Matas Buzelis joins Stephon Castle at the Slam Dunk Contest

The Slam Dunk Contest has lost interest in recent years, with stars avoiding going there. Last year, Jaylen Brown had nevertheless lent himself to the exercise, without much success. And so it is Mac McClungwith his five short career NBA games, who is the two-time reigning winner of the competition…

Zion Williamson, Anthony Edwards and other Ja Morant are not interested, and the Big League must therefore focus on young players. And after Stephon Castle, ESPN announces presence of another rookie during the next dunk contest, which will be held at the Chase Center, on the night of Saturday February 15 to Sunday February 16.

It is about Matas Buzelisthe Lithuanian-American debutant for the Bulls. In the G-League, he showed he had jump and hangtime, which is always valuable in a dunk contest.

We have also seen him since his debut in the NBA, notably during his starting baseline but, given his playing time and his role with the Bulls, he has only dunked 18 times since the start of the campaign!
