Markelle Fultz and Wendell Carter Jr. play a dirty trick on the Clippers

On four consecutive successes, the Clippers had the opportunity to continue with the reception of Orlando, who remained on his side on five defeats in six games, and which is fast approaching the holidays.

Problem: without Kawhi Leonard, spared, Paul George and his teammates start the match at a trot, facing a much more motivated Orlando team. It is the replacements for Tyronn Lue who will give rhythm to Los Angeles, to quickly pick up. At halftime, the Magic only had a two-point lead (57-55).

Paul George finally finds the address after returning from the locker room and we think that the Clippers will get their hands on the game. Except that the Los Angeles attack freezes again, while the Magic can rely on all the nerve of Markell Fultz, as well as the seriousness of Wendell Carter Jr.

They are the ones who make the difference in the “money-time”, despite all the efforts of Paul George to pull off the heist. A 3-point from Franz Wagner bends the case and Orlando offers a prestigious victory (113-108).

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

– Markelle Fultz and Wendell Carter Jr, the bosses. With his 28 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals, the point guard hurt the Clippers very badly, with his vista and his confidence. In particular, he often combined very well with his pivot, who could conclude the alley-oop or torpedo the Clippers behind the 3-point line. “WCJ” ends on his side with 27 points and 12 rebounds, 4/8 away.

– Only one being is missing… The Clippers seemed to find balance and rhythm in recent games around Kawhi Leonard, not far from his very best. The winger at rest, the troop of Tyronn Lue seemed lost, never really knowing when to press the accelerator, to finally let themselves be overwhelmed.

TOPS/FLOPS

Cole Anthony. He was not far from registering absolutely all the points of the bench of his team. With his 18 points (plus 8 rebounds), the leader was very useful, especially since the rest of the bench was ineffective.

⛔✅ Paul George. A failed first half. He recovered on returning from the locker room, to finish with 30 points and a finally correct address. Despite his 6 ball losses, he almost snatched the hold-up.

✅⛔ Russell Westbrook. Evening, afternoon, morning… The point guard is always at full speed, and he was one of the few to bring the Clippers some rhythm in this start to the game at two per hour. Without Kawhi Leonard, on the other hand, he tried to make the difference by himself at the end of the match and it was not a great success. In particular countered by Markelle Fultz, he broke his teeth on the opposing defenders.
