Mark Williams thumb surgery

In a press releasethe Hornets have just announced that their rookie pivot, Mark Williams, had to have surgery to heal a torn ligament in the thumb of his right hand.

We remember that the 15th choice of the 2022 Draft had to join the infirmary in March because of a thumb injury, but he still came back to play the last games of the campaign. The former Duke pivot had thus recovered the starting position in Charlotte following the transfer of Mason Plumlee during the season.

Enough to show pretty things with 11.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.1 against average as a holder.

His agreement with LaMelo Ball on the pick-and-roll was thus interesting. Even if the Hornets did not communicate on the unavailability of their player, Mark Williams (2m16, 21 years old) should be handed over for the next “training camp” of the team. On the other hand, he will not be able to play in the Summer League this summer with his team.
