Marcus Morris back at the Sixers?

Paul George, Eric Gordon, Andre Drummond… In Philadelphia, they haven't been idle since the first hours of free agency, and Daryl Morey has picked up the biggest free agent of the summer with “PG13”. The Sixers president has also extended Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr., and they now need to find seven players to complete the roster. Knowing that there is no more money in the coffers.

According to the local press, Paul Reed could be sacrificed to recover a few million dollars, and thus offer more than the minimum salary to these seven players. For the Philadelphia Inquirerone of the first targets would be Marcus Morris who is expected to take over the role from Nicolas Batum or Robert Covington on the wing.

It would be a return for the Philadelphia native since after his trade from the Clippers, he started last season with the Sixers before being traded to the Spurs in February, then signed by the Cavaliers. At the time, Markieff's brother had absolutely no grudge against the management, and he had even thanked them for giving him the opportunity to play “at home”.

They actually did me a favor by taking me home, giving me the opportunity to accomplish something on my list. ” he explained. “ There were a lot of good things that happened to me and my family while I was there. I'm happy for them. I still look up to them. I'm still connected to those guys. »

The Inquirer specifies that the Sixers are not the only ones on his trail since the Pistons, the Hornets, the Cavaliers, the Mavericks, the Heat and the Wolves are also interested, to varying degrees, in his services.
