Luke Kennard Returns to Memphis…for a Year

From reinforcement to Memphiswhere we learn by ESPN the re-signing of Luke Kennard for one year, and $11 million.

The return of the rear was expected in Tennessee, even if the Grizzlies had decided to decline, at the end of June, his last year of contract as an option. After several weeks of stand-byhe is therefore present in the 2024/25 squad of a franchise which will be keen to bounce back, after a season ruined by injuries to several of its key players, Ja Morant at the head.

At 28, Luke Kennard is averaging 10.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in his career. Mainly known for his shooting quality (44% from 3-point range in his career), he arrived in Memphis in February 2023, from the Clippers, after first having had a stint with the Pistons.

However, while we imagined the former Duke resident would extend for two or three years, he will finally become free agent in a year. In his position, he will fight with Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart or even John Konchar to obtain minutes in Taylor Jenkins' rotation.
