Kyle Anderson, Monte Morris, Jordan McLaughlin and Luka Garza are the players that Wolves want to extend this summer. Even if the situation is difficult, because the finances weigh down the ambitions of the franchise. In any case, they managed to keep the last one.
In fact, the 25-year-old interior has extended by two seasons with the minimum salary, or $2.1 million for next season.
Luka Garza only played 25 games last season, averaging 4 points, and most of his minutes came when games were over. But since Karl-Anthony Towns is often injured (and not necessarily untradeable…), he can still be used for short bursts, to give Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid a breather.
This matter is therefore settled for the Wolves. But the rest looks complicated. The Athletic also specifies that negotiations with Kyle Anderson are not progressing. The interior would like a significant salary but the franchise cannot afford it, under penalty of being sanctioned. From then on, the two camps would be very far apart at present and if a meeting is not yet to be excluded, there is little progress to report for the moment.
