After a first quarter dominated in the large widths by the Jazz, which offered a 12-point lead after converting 12 of its first 24 shots with five players at 5 or more points (35-23), the match s balance thereafter. – Jazz too messy. Despite 28 assists out of 39 baskets, which can make the Mavericks blush and their 20 assists in 42 baskets, the Jazzmen lose this meeting because of too many inaccuracies. In particular 16 ball losses and 26 points against them. In a defeat of 3 small points, there is reason to regret.
TOPS & FLOPS
✅ Christian Wood. Nice double-double (21 points and 10 rebounds) off the bench for the slender pivot of the Mavericks, particularly decisive at the end of the game, when he chained two furious dunks and an award-winning shot to put his team on the right track in the “money time”.
✅ Spencer Dinwiddie. Also author of several decisive shots in the “money-time”, including two award-winning shots, the back confirms his coherent start to the season, in a mixed role of scorer / creator. He posted 20 points (8/20), 4 rebounds and 4 assists steals in this game.
✅ Jordan Clarkson. Overall, the Jazz’s major five was good, but Jordan Clarkson was the most successful of all starters. Despite 4 ball losses that tarnish his “+/-” which ends in the negative (-3), he signed a consistent performance, with 20 points (9/20), 5 rebounds and 8 assists. At the heart of the attack of this Jazz which pleasantly surprises, the whimsical rear connects the convincing exits.
⛔️ Tim Hardaway Jr.. Ghostly performance for the Mavericks shooter, whose start to the season is generally complicated. In just over 20 minutes, he only found the target once, out of 9 attempts (3 points). He is one of the players whose awakening is necessary to relieve Luka Doncic in attack.
