Lou Lopez Sénéchal will miss the start of the WNBA season

Drafted in 5th position by the Dallas Wings, Lou Lopez Senechal will have to wait before making his WNBA debut. Affected in a knee since the end of the NCAA season with UConn, she underwent surgery this month. A blow for the French who will be away from the parquet floors between 6 and 8 weeks, according to The Team.

After four great years at Fairfield University, Lou Lopez Sénéchal joined the prestigious UConn program last year. Arrived to occupy a minor role, she started all 37 games for the Huskies in 2022/23, to explode with an average of 15.5 points per game to 44% from 3-pointers!

A season as surprising as it was unexpected, which propelled the player to the 2023 WNBA Draft, when a year ago she was still mostly unknown to the battalion.
