Present at the Invest Fest on Saturday in Atlanta, Lonzo-Ball exhibited steely morale in relation to his situation. The Bulls leader has however been deprived of a floor since January 2022 and has already withdrawn for the season after his cartilage transplant in his left knee suffered last March.
But his mind is holding firm, his eyes riveted on this objective of being able to play again.
” Life is not easy. If you want to get the most out of it, you have to give the best of yourself”, did he declare. “If we fall, we have to get up every time, to keep going. We can always give up, take the easy way out, sulk and step aside. But for me, when you want to achieve a goal like mine, you just have to get up, dust off and keep moving forward.
The answer to Stephen A. Smith…
As he had already pointed out last week, Lonzo Ball is relieved since his last operation, and is now looking ahead. His rehabilitation schedule is fixed, and he has the cards in hand again.
He also took the opportunity to deplore the rumor launched by journalist Stephen A. Smith, who had assured that he still had trouble getting up when sitting. He had published a video in stride to show him the opposite. But there again, what can be said does not seem to destabilize him.
“Noise from outside does not bother me”he added. “The story with Stephen A. Smith is that he has a broad platform. And for me, I don’t appreciate people spreading fake news like that, especially someone of his stature, who can affect a lot of people. As for me, I know what I have to do to come back. I’m on this path, doing my job every day, step by step. I don’t look too far ahead. But I know that in the near future I will be back on the pitch, that’s for sure”.
