As the NBA remains his priority, even though he flew to Lithuania in the offseason, it is hardly surprising to learn that Lonnie Walker interests several teams in the United States. So, in addition to the Celtics and the Nuggets who were already following him two months ago, Mark Stein now adds three more franchises: the Sixers, the Timberwolves and the Heat.
Having left for Europe with Zalgiris Kaunas, where he felt he had the best chance of making a name for himself again, the 25-year-old full-back could be an interesting solution off the bench, at low cost, for a title candidate. Before changing continents, he was in Boston for training camp, but the champions cut him just before the start of the season due to their financial situation.
As a reminder, Lonnie Walker IV has a clause in his current contract which allows him to return to the NBA before February 18 and there is therefore a month and a half left to divert him from Lithuania, where he is averaging 14.7 points in the Euroleague. (at 37% success behind the 3-point line).
