Like Tyrese Haliburton, who are the players who are much more skillful at home?

Tyrese Haliburton had his best game of the season two days ago, against the Pelicans. With 34 points at 12/23 including 9/18 from distance, plus 13 assists, the leader of the Pacers was able to salute the words of Pascal Siakam, who came in support of his teammate… but the fact that the match was played in Indianapolis was without doubt. doubt also helped.

Because since the start of the campaign, the All-Star has been much, much more effective at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. In the eight games he played there, he averaged 22.5 points, and 10.1 assists, with a 46% success rate including 43% from 3-point range. Even better stats than those he posted last year, for 6 victories and 2 defeats. The problem is that it's very different away, where he only averages 12.3 points and 8.3 assists, with a 32% success rate including 23% behind the 3-point line. For 2 victories and 8 defeats…

If we represent the EFG%, that is to say the address which takes into account the value of 3-points, during home and away matches this season, for players who have already been All- Stars, we see that Tyrese Haliburton is the second player whose difference is the greatest, behind Zion Williamson. But the Pelicans power forward has only played six games this season, and this very small sample confuses things a little.

Jalen Brunson more comfortable in hostile territory?

Among the other All-Stars who have been much more effective at home than away at the start of the season, we find Jaylen Brown (51% success including 44% by far in Boston compared to 38% success including 24% by distance elsewhere) while conversely, Kevin Love does not find the target in Miami (19% success including 33% from distance at home compared to 48% success including 47% from distance away), even if his All-Star status is a little dated now.

Out of curiosity, and to avoid the shocks of small samples, we can also look at the EFG% of the 66 All-Stars still active since the start of their career.

This shows that the vast majority of them (52) shoot better at home than away, the most notable difference being at Rudy Gobert And Jarrett Allentwo old-fashioned pivots.

Conversely, among the 14 All-Stars who are more skillful away from their gym, it is Jalen Brunson who shows the biggest improvement in his efficiency away from home. And we see in fact that the Knicks leader has had his seven best offensive games (all since he joined the Knicks) away from Madison Square Garden.
