Like the others, Cam Reddish stays with the Lakers

The last year of the contract Cam Reddish was optioned and only cost $2.5 million. Was he going to activate it or rather go to the market to look for a much larger check?

The Athletic tells us that the Lakers winger has decided to go to the end of his contract, by activating his option. He therefore remains in Los Angeles and JJ Redick, the new coach, will be able to count on him. Just like Jaxson Hayes, Christian Wood and D'Angelo Russell who had also activated their “player option”.

It must be said that, even if he is protected by LeBron James, Cam Reddish did not have a great season with 5.4 points and 2.1 rebounds on average. He can be useful, especially when he is confident and hits from afar. Except that his outside shot is very often irregular (33% success at 3-pts).

He brings things, doesn't force anything, shoots well. He penetrates, he defends well. He's another Swiss army knife who doesn't need to have much of the ball, just a few good positions in the rhythm of the match. He plugs holes, he can change on defense and do a lot of things on the job. I find that he does all this with ease.” Darvin Ham, the former Lakers coach, had described it.
