LeBron James wants to bring AC Milan back to European summit

11 months ago, through RedBird Capital Partners, LeBron James became a shareholder of AC Milan. Already associated with Liverpool since 2010, via the investment group Fenway Sports, the quadruple MVP strongly believes in this takeover, and he shared his enthusiasm in The Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I love European football and I think Milan are a really special club on and off the pitch. There is a great opportunity to bring the Rossoneri back to the top teams and brands in European football around the world.” explains LeBron. “Milan is a world-class city at the crossroads of fashion, sport, entertainment and culture. AC Milan is its perfect ambassador and RedBird the right owner to bring the team back to its glory days. »

Since this summer, we know that Russell Westbrook, Larry Nance Jr. and TJ McConnell have also become shareholders of the Leeds club, via 49ers Enterprises, the financial arm of the NFL franchise of the San Francisco 49ers, and European football is attracting more plus NBA stars.

“Generally speaking, I think American investors can bring a lot of value to European sport, both on and off the pitch, but I’m also convinced that they can also learn a lot from Europe, especially in terms of passion. RedBird in Milan will be an example of this” added James to the Gazzetta.
