Lamar Stevens released by San Antonio

The Cavaliers had validated his last year of contract, but the Spurs ultimately decide to dump Lamar. As reported by The Athletic, lamar stevens was actually cut last night by San Antoniowhere he had arrived as part of the triangle exchange around Max Strus.

A purely economic decision, as the 26-year-old winger’s salary would become fully guaranteed for 2023/24, if he is not released before this Tuesday.

If the majority of the workforce is now closed, we can however imagine Lamar Stevens bouncing back, since his defensive qualities, his versatility and his personality quickly won unanimous support in Cleveland. Present in the NBA since 2020, he remains on a season with 5.3 points and 3.3 rebounds on average in Ohio.
