The roller coaster of Lamar Stevens continue. Initially, the Cavaliers validated his last year of contract… before transferring him to the Spurs, who finally released him.
It has therefore been more than two months since the former Cleveland winger (1m98, 26 years old) has been free. Several teams were interested in his profile (Wolves, Rockets, Heat) but it was the Celtics who got their hands on him.
The Athletic announces as well as the former Cavaliers winger committed to Boston. He could be the 15th and final player in the squad, although we will have to wait to know the exact terms of his contract.
But for Joe Mazzulla, it’s an interesting defensive profile, certainly limited in terms of outside skill, but which can provide good minutes to take care of the best opposing wingers, he who has still started 25 times (out of 62 games) last season in Cleveland.
