Lakers find G-League coach

Since Bronny James is aware that he will spend time in the G-League, who will be his coach at the South Bay Lakers? We imagine that LeBron James was attentive to the technician chosen by his leaders, and ESPN announces that it will be Zach Guthrie. Born in San Antonio, the latter learned his trade with the Austin Toros, the Spurs' G-League franchise, then as assistant video coordinator for the Spurs, a position he held for two seasons.

Zach Guthrie then spent three years in Orlando where he led the scouting unit before joining the Jazz where he also climbed the hierarchy, ending up as assistant in charge of strategy with Quin Snyder, whom he had known at the Spurs. In 2020, this same Guthrie arrived at the Mavericks to assist Rick Carlisle, and replace Stephen Silas, who left to coach the Rockets.

In 2021, he packed his bags again, heading to the Wizards where he accompanied Wes Unseld Jr. Released after the dismissal of the Washington coach, he therefore went down a level to take care of the South Bay Lakers team, replacing Dane Johnson.
