Lakers allowed to meet with several renowned assistants

We know it, it is this week that the Lakers began their interviews to find a new coach and ESPN indicates this Wednesday that they have been authorized to meet several assistants who appear on their tablets.

Thus, the leaders of Los Angeles will first be able to speak with five assistants who are, to say the least, reputable: Sam Cassell Celtics, David Adelman Nuggets, Chris Quinn of the Heat, Micah Nori Wolves and James Borrego of the Pelicans.

These will obviously not be the only candidates that the Lakers will meet for their position of “head coach”, since the names of Kenny Atkinson (Warriors) and Sean Sweeney (Mavericks) have also been put forward in recent days by “insiders”. Without forgetting that of the analyst JJ Redick (ESPN), who keeps coming back insistently in the media despite his inexperience in coaching.

In any case, this confirms that Rob Pelinka, the GM and vice-president of the “Purple & Gold”, first intends to concentrate on assistants already in office, and not just any assistants, because they are all immersed in an environment where success is at its highest at the moment.

Then, he will undoubtedly attack former coaches currently free. What is being whispered behind the scenes is that his final choice will be a “hard worker” to succeed Darvin Ham. But who ?
