Kyrie Irving created the event last season by entering into an unprecedented partnership with the Anta brand, of which he became creative director after the end of his deal with Nike. The logical next step was the release of the Kai 1, its new signature shoe last February, causing a real tidal wave on the sneaker market.
The Mavericks leader was able to continue to highlight different colors, until the NBA Finals, notably wearing for Game 1 against Boston this “Twin Flame” color which is back in stock on North American territory. The color pays homage to the player's parents, Elizabeth and Drederick Irving, with purple, a symbol of balance, mixing masculine and feminine energies.
Tiny touches of blue, Drederick Irving's favorite color, and fuchsia, in homage to Kyrie's late mother, also adorn the upper. Two flames on the laces complete the symbol of this union. Finally, the golden parts symbolize generosity and compassion, values transmitted to Kyrie by his family.
The Anta Kai 1 “Twin Flame” is available since this weekend on Anta.com priced at $125. Stock should still sell out quickly!
