Kyle Lowry justifies his choice to stay with the Sixers

A few hours after he himself announced that he was staying with the Sixers for one more season, Kyle Lowry came back on this choice. If two other teams – he does not give their names – tried to sign him, the choice to continue the adventure in Philadelphia was a natural one. For several reasons.

“To play again with Nick Nurse, to represent my city and also to have a chance to play for the title with this good group”, list the 38-year-old playmaker. “I think we have a great opportunity to improve and I feel like this is the best place for me right now.”

Teams looking for a playmaker, who could have been interested in Kyle Lowry's profile, had found what they were looking for in recent days. Whether it was the Suns, by signing Monte Morris, the Spurs with Chris Paul or the Clippers with Kris Dunn.

For the Philadelphia native, there are worse things to do than continue with a group that has seen Paul George, as well as Caleb Martin, Eric Gordon and Andre Drummond, drop off their bags in Pennsylvania in recent weeks.

“We will be a really, really complicated team to play,” announces the 2019 NBA champion. “We have a team of veterans who know how to play basketball.”
