Kristaps Porzingis more fulfilled than ever in Boston

Currently on the sidelines due to his temperamental calf, Kristaps Porzingis nevertheless made a good start on the side of Boston : 18.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks on average, 55% shooting (including 32% 3-pointers) and 80% shooting.

The Latvian’s integration into Massachusetts is therefore going very well and, without forcing, the person concerned is flourishing within his new team. Alongside in particular Jaylen Brown with whom he gets along very well on the floor.

It is at this point in my career and playing here in Boston that I now enjoy basketball the most “, he admitted on the sidelines of the victory of Celtics against the Bulls.

More experience, maturity and knowledge

At 28 years old and in his eighth NBA season, Kristaps Porzingis claims to have “ grown a lot » and now be very far from the player but also from the man he was when he arrived in the league, in 2015.

I came into the league very young, at 19 “, recalled the former interior of the Knicks, Mavericks and Wizards. “ I was drafted by New York and had an incredible time there, but I was still very immature in many aspects, especially on the field. […] I’ve been on a few teams, I’ve played with a lot of great players, and at this point in my career, at 28, I’ve got that experience, that maturity, and I know the game a lot better than in my beginnings [à New York] or even that in Dallas. »

This bodes well for Boston, since Kristaps Porzingis is the type to walk on confidence and, the more it is pumped up, the more likely the Celtics will be to get closer to the title at the end of the season…
